chickens can talk here? need to investigate.
oh! Pipi can talk with chipmunks! And not as a spell, but she did cast a spell to find them. And it went right. No trouble at all *sigh* Lucky her.
We found two markers, very old, with worn runes that were vaguely Dwarvish. “Darak” and “Zuk”, they said.
I spoke with some kind of tiny fae, native to this woods. I’ll do a proper sketch of them later, as we’re still on the move. So small, elven faces, brightly colored plumage, lovely bird-like language. Delightful. And they spoke of Zuk, which it sounds like are large, rattish things.
Oh, another new kind of person? Creature? No, person. Spidery, but human-shaped, with a language none of us knew. So many arms, or maybe legs? So many eyes. Very quiet, very interesting. And helpful, at least if you’re respectful in your dealings with them. I want to know more.
Even if I don’t find what I came here for, I’m glad I’m here.
