    Track and Map
Zep’s shop is closed. I’m concerned, his shop is never closed. Sometime a person who sees their first “action” can make a person “examine their life” and do foolish things. After a little tracking and Pip’s bird helpers, we find him at of course his house. Strange crying noises were coming from inside. I carefully opened the door to see a mutilated practice dummy and a serous Zep tightly holding the murder weapon. I thought back to Gil’s melt down during basic training and how Sargent Salmar handled it. So, I talked clearly and slowly asking things like; are you OK? And looks like you did a good job on that practice dummy. He seemed to cool down so I asked him if he would like to get some lunch at the chicken farmer’s house. After lunch our group went back out to the burial grounds. On our way tom the burial grounds we tracked down these rat-things. We had an encounter with two of this “zooks” four legged rats with four grasping hands and tentacles coming out their nose area. Zep was able to see a trap that the Zooks set and was able to set it off without hurting anyone. He was then able to see a pit trap just beyond the trip line of the first trap. I am so proud of him. Our Sage in training, Dume, cast a spell and was able to understand the Zook. And told us they were plaining on eating us or getting the others and eating us. So, I let an arrow fly, I missed. Pip cast fairy fire on the Zooks. Dume, our mage in training (?) through a dagger at the Zook and hit and killed (HAK) one of the Zook. I started to chase after the last Zook who was bugging out. I heard the sound “twak”, as I broke the like of another trap line. My training kicked in and I went prone as the swing log trap moved over my head. I stopped and regrouped. There was another pit trap just beyond this swing log trap just like the first set of traps. So, it seems the Zook are not friendly and are intelligent. The rest of the day we tracked back to the burial grounds, we saw the spider-man, Dume through her know language spell was able to tell the spider-man’s movements was the way he spoke. We were able to make a good map of this area with the time we have left in the day and returned home at dusk. I am impressed with the way the group is coming along. We did find foot prints that look like ghoul prints that I would like to track down tomorrow.
