BARTEK! I was asked to go on a True Adventure with BARTEK! He asked me specifically! I didn’t have time to fetch you, but I see you did an amazing job with the garden. You always do, and I am ever so grateful.
And I almost fainted, because it wasn’t just Bartek. Can you guess? Can you even imagine who else I got to meet? YES! I should have known you’d guess right away. PIPI. My eyes were so dry, I don’t think I blinked one, so rapt with attention was I in everything she might say or do. She was so kind to me. I knew she was the Nicest of the Druids.
I tried to make a good show of myself, tried to be worthy. I know it will take time, so I’m not surprised she didn’t say anything about helping me on my druidic journey. But maybe someday. And if Pipi says I can be a druid, I have No Doubt it will be so.
We went out to kill a dragon that’s been poisoning the water – a Very Druidic goal. But there wasn’t a dragon – there were TWO. Not big, but TWO. You would have been so proud of me, I think. I didn’t kill either of them, but I hurt them both. A lot, it seemed. So I was very helpful. And I might even get black dragon armor from it – wouldn’t I look dashing in something like that?
We found their loot to, and now I have magic arrows for my shortbow – see? I found a pearl that I really wanted, but so did Pipi, so of course I gave it to her. It should be a Druid item. I wasn’t trying to buy her favor – why would you even think that?
Maybe it’s a Good Thing you stayed behind, if that’s how you feel.
